INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
ACCA qualification is recognised as the equivalent of an honours degree in Accounting. In fact many university graduates are taking up ACCA studies to upgrade their knowledge and advance their career even further. The ACCA qualification is recognised around the world and ACCA graduates can seek employment in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, etc.
BECOMING A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT
The ACCA qualification is recognised by Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) as one of the requirements for MIA membership as a Chartered Accountant in Malaysia. A Chartered Accountant (with practicing certificates) can set up his or her own Public Practice and provide services such as accounting, audit, liquidation, tax and other related services. Many accounting graduates from overseas (e.g. UK, Australia, US, etc) take up ACCA studies after they return to Malaysia so that they can meet the requirements of MIA membership to be Chartered Accountants in Malaysia. (Visit MIA website for more information)
GETTING A DEGREE THROUGH ACCA
| ACCA students can get an honours degree (i.e. Bachelor
of Applied Accounting with Honours)
while studying for the ACCA qualification. This is made possible through
ACCA´s innovative partnership with Oxford Brookes University (United
Kingdom). To get the degree, students will have to satisfy the following: (1) complete Knowledge & Skills modules I [Paper F1 -F9], and (2) submit a 6,500 word business related Research & Analysis Report, and a 2,000-word Key Skills Statement to Oxford Brookes University. So ACCA students graduate with NOT just one, but TWO qualifications - the ACCA Professional Qualification and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Accounting degree. |

WHY STUDY ACCA AT CRESCENDO?
In selecting the right ACCA college, the critical factor to consider is the 'LECTURING TEAM'. ACCA is not an 'internally' assessed qualification; it is 'externally' assessed and therefore the lecturers must be very knowledgeable and be VERY exam-oriented. The pool of such lecturers is small and Crescendo has gone to the extent of getting some of the well-known ACCA lecturers from Singapore, KL and East Malaysia to lecture at Crescendo Int'l College. Some of the lecturers are themselves former Prize Winners or have produced Prize Winners before. Apart from the well-known 'fly-in' lecturers, Crescendo Int'l College has also produced some top ACCA lecturers and they are now being 'exported' by Crescendo to colleges in Singapore, KL and East Malaysia. Students under their guidance have won ACCA Achievers Awards.
Crescendo Int'l College is fortunate that ACCA students in Johor made us the biggest ACCA college in Johor and Southern Malaysia. We believe this is the testament to the quality of our carefully selected lecturing team. The quality of students whom we have attracted are also very outstanding. Up to Dec 2005, we have registered more than 100 ACCA students who graduated from various public and private Malaysian universities, overseas universities (Australia, UK, etc), 3+0 degree programmes, and Diploma & Advanced Diploma programmes from KL Colleges. Top LCCI graduates (Gold Medalist & Silver Medalist) and CAT Prize Winners have also selected us as the ACCA college for them.
Crescendo International College welcomes & encourages accountancy students in choosing ACCA. The fact that even university graduates select ACCA is highly reassuring that ACCA is the RIGHT choice- the PREFERRED choice. Crescendo International College is also the first college in Johor to conduct FULL ACCA papers. Crescendo has been producing ACCA graduates since 2002. This is an achievement which Crescendo is proud of. This puts us closer towards realising our vision of providing quality education to Johoreans at an affordable price.
